The University of Exeter je verejná výskumná univerzita nachádzajúca sa v meste Exeter (Devon), v juhozápadnej časti Anglicka. Univerzita bola založená a získala Royal Charter v rok 1955. Jej predchodcovia, inštitúcie Royal Albert Memorial College a University College of the South West of England boli založené v roku 1900 resp. 1922.
Univerzita má 4 kampusy: Streathham a St Luke’s (ktoré sú oba v Exeter), Truro a Penryn (oba sú v Cornwalle). Hlavný kampus sa nachádza v strede mesta Exeter. Streatham je najväčší kampus a obsahuje mnoho administratívnych budov a je považovaný za jeden z najkrajších v krajine.
Univerzita bola v roku 2013 pomenovaná podľa The Sunday Times ako Univerzita roka. Od založenia National Student Survey v roku 2005 sa Exeter vždy umiestňuje v Top 10. Univerzita je jedna z ôsmich v UK, ktoré sa umiestnili v rámci Top 10 vo všetkých troch hlavných národných tabuliek pre 2016.
Počet študentov v roku 2015 bolo 20 555 z toho 16 175 na bakalárskom stupni a 4 380 na magisterskom stupni.
