Southampton Solent University je verejnou vysokou školou so sídlom v meste Southampton. Má približne 18 500 študentov a jeho hlavný kampus sa nachádza na East Park Terrace v blízkosti centra mesta a námorného centra tohto mesta.
Počiatky tejto univerzity siahajú do roku 1856 keď bola založená School of Art a neskôr sa z nej stala Southampton College of Art. Fúzia so Southampton College of Technology a neskôr College of Nautical Studies viedla v roku 1984 k vytvoreniu Southampton Institute of Higher Education. Táto inštitúcia sa stala univerzitou 12. júla 2005 a jej meno sa zmenilo na to súčasné.
Southampton Solent University má dva kampusy, jeden z nich je City Campus a druhý je Warsash Námorná Akadémia. Univerzita má príjemnú polohu s výhľadom na atraktívny East Park v centre mesta na južnom pobreží Anglicka. Warsash Námorná Akadémia sa nachádza na východnom brehu rieky Hamble s výhľadom na Southampton Water.
